At St John Fisher, we are proud to celebrate the Caritas Social Teaching Award, which recognises outstanding examples of compassion, service, and love in action within our school community. This special award honours individuals or groups, whether staff, pupils, families, or collectives, who embody the principles of Catholic Social Teaching through their everyday actions.
Each half term, we celebrate faith in action by recognising a staff member, child, or group of children who have shown a deep commitment to living out Gospel values in practical and meaningful ways.
As Bishop John reminds us, “The measure of our love is not the service we render but the love we put into it.” The Caritas in Action initiative reflects the values cherished across the Salford Diocese and encourages our school community to respond to the call of Catholic Social Teaching, promoting human dignity, solidarity, and care for creation.
